Project Idea Brief Workshop

Project Idea Brief Workshop

This is the final session of Phase 2. By the end, every team will have submitted a completed one-page Project Idea Brief. Submitting the brief is not the end of Week 4 — it is the beginning of Phase 3.

Team Size
2 to 5 students per team, all from the same school. Five is the cap because it matches the delegation that travels for the prize, so a winning team goes in full. Two is the floor because the brief is a team exercise. Mixed-track teams are allowed. A Track A student and a Track C student can collaborate if the project suits both skill levels.

The Project Idea Brief — Six Sections

Slide 1

One page. Fill every section before submitting. Incomplete briefs are returned.

01
The Problem
What specific problem are you solving? Who has it? How often? What happens when it is not solved?
02
The Agent
Describe what the agent does step by step — like a recipe. What does it perceive, plan, use, remember, and check?
03
The Domain
Healthcare · Research · Personal assistant · Other (specify). Why this domain for your team?
04
Data and Tools
What data sources will the agent need? What APIs or tools? Are these publicly available?
05
Success Metric
How will you know the agent is working? What does good output look like vs bad output? Be specific and measurable.
06
Ethical Consideration
Name one ethical concern your agent raises and describe one design decision you will make to address it.

✏️ Student Reflection
Before submitting your brief — answer this honestly: Is the problem you are solving specific enough that you could describe the exact person who has it and how often they encounter it? If not, your problem statement needs sharpening before submission.
